Calzaghe didn't have to grow inches taller to fight a light heavyweight, or lose much weight to fight a middleweight. So what you're saying makes no sense as usual. Its not uncommon for boxers to fight in different divisions, moving up or down in weight. But you seem to think what I suggested is unreasonable based solely on your opinions.
I'm not sitting here pretending to be a Calzaghe expert or even a fan. But I do know his record and what he's done. Like you said, tale of the tape says it all. Obviously I hurt your feelings, but I'm not emotionally invested into this exchange to have to argue with you.
I like Calzaghe. He's one of the few Euro fighters who has made something out of his career. But I don't follow euro fighters most of the time, as their fights are boring. The euro-style of boxing is boring, but Calzaghe has a bit of rhythm and movement to him unlike the others. But if you're still feeling mouthy after this post, we could always make a wager. If Calzaghe fights Hopkins, Taylor or Wright we can bet on the winner. We already know who you'll bet on! We can set up a paypal account and put the money in there controlled by say ... Mike Brewer? Then the winner takes all. I'll put my money where my mouth is. What kind of man are you?
We'll see who knows what.
