  • Simple advice

Alot of people tell you of the physical benefits of training to fight
just tought i would tell a storie about mental training.
I was at a caravan site (trailor park to you yanks )
And became quite friendly with the Irish families who had made it their home. after gaining the trust of many of the families i was invited to watch a bare knuckle boxing match (illegal + alot of illegal betting)
The first fighter (who we will call bill) was about 71 kilos (about 156 lbs) which i think makes him a middleweight versus fighter number two (who we will call Jim) who was at least 90 kilos (just under 200 lbs). Heavyweight.
To cut a long story short, When the fight was eventually over jim's face looked like a pillow (swollen beyond recognition)
Bill fought like pitbul with a lit matchstick up its a**e with tunnel vision thirsty for blood !!!
    Why?
(I was to later find out) Bill's mental preparation was intense
Standing in a cold damp concrete room whilst radio static is being played full blast for (get ready) four hours a day for four weeks.
I'm not a head doctor but this must be the reason why he fought so hard.
Any theories or comments would be much appreciated.

I also aknowledge the fact that, for mentel conditioning to take place the person has to be willing 110%.
Also there are many different forms of mental training.
