  • Training Hard & Puking

How often should it happen? Ideally not too often, but sometimes you get hit with a knee or an upper cut that send you to the bucket. Have you puked while training?

    From Boxinginsider.net on Tyson

Question: Is Tyson mentally committed to boxing?

Roach: Tyson told me this is the first time he has really wanted to fight in a long time. His work ethic has shown me that that is true. He is training very hard and not just going through the motions. I am pushing him very hard in the gym. I am pushing him so hard that last week he was bending over throwing up in between rounds. He gets a little upset with me here and there, but the thing is it is all about getting him ready for the fight.

Does anal puking count? I trained so hard at a Dennis Martin class a few months ago that I nearly pooped my pants.

I've gotten to a near puke state and have gagged after too many rounds of thai pad work or with hard sparring. But all out explosive puke, haven't done it.

I got really dizzy one time after training for several hours, sparring and then doing squats... I finished my first set and felt like the room was spinning. My legs gave out and fell to the floor, then when I tried to get back up I puked... It was pretty embarrasing to say the least.

          Puke no fun!
Have puked in past when training.
You go past your limits you get dizzy & puke.
          At least I do

Puked during basic training as well (beastings I miss 'em).

          Cheers Jez

Tom Yum, did you eat or drink before class or practice? At my old goju school I was instructed to never eat or drink anything at least an hour before class.

I usually give about 2 hrs for food to settle.
