  • Improving the Wooden Dummy

I've practiced on the wooden dummy for a while and I've been thinking about adding some enhancements to this device. Here's a couple of ideas.

Rotation: When I punch the heavy bag, I would hit it along it's center that way it would receive the full impact of my punches (if it rotates then you're not hitting it dead center). If my dummy could rotate, it would help on hitting things dead center.

Bending: If there was a joint (preferably between the lower arm and knee) that allowed the dummy to bend in various directions, then it would help develop my techniques and also muay thai knees and judo throws. Plus it would help on developing some ideas/techniques from the clinch.

Padding: To help with my punches, and kicks

What do you all think of that?

I have a friend that I need to email, soon. He's been doing carpentry for quite some time, and I've been developing the schematics for this design. When it's completed, then I'll have you all take a look at it and tell me what you think. Holla
