Hey Sherwinc, good to see this post of yours! Maybe you will start to look at MMA in a different way too....
He calls him self a 1st generation student of something, and is teaching people without the consent of his teacher,
the correct term is, i am in the Third Generation ChiDianBun, 2nd Senior student cause my KokSut Instructor is a Second Generation to his Fellow Chinese Instructor.......
the term i use "First Generation Student" is that..... i am one on the first generation students in the TRI-Art Development Club....... cause that club when start built - we are the first students or 15 students or 15 seniors and i am the 2nd senior student.........
but the correct term is - that i am the Third Generation.......
and my Instructor will truely get mad at me if he knows that i am teaching someone without his permission, he always repeated that kind of to us......
but the club is already gone since very early 1997....... and starting 1997 up to year 2001 honestly, i have only 2 kungfu students (both have deep backgrounds in non-kungfu arts) i never ask them any money but what i want from them is to teach me their non-kungfu art, since they know TangSooDo, Karate, Arnis, etc....... and to preserve the art that i continue to practice my kungfu art........
to maintain your kungfu art, you need a partner, a partner who also knows your art/technique in order to preserve it, you have to choose the correct person to teach - worthy.......
i still remember what my koksut instructor said before......
"IN A RIGHT TIME, IN A RIGHT PLACE, AND WITH THE RIGHT STUDENT, A GOOD INSTRUCTOR COMES"
together at the picnic....Thai used his blue towel to snap at H2H every time he reached into the picnic basket, which sent H2H running. It appears to be miller time....
