  • How to spot a bad Martial art school.

So ive been looking around my area and out of the very small pick i have i came across this one school, i wont say the name of it.... but The owner said that he taught boxing, kickboxing, Jiu Jitsu, Tae Kwon do, Kung fu, and kenpo. At first i was like wow thats great so many areas of study. But then he said you wont be learning one art exclusively, but taking techniques from each art. Im going to check it out tonight, but im just wondering what to look for and if this is good or not.

Go and try the school out, be ready and willing to learn and you probably won't regret it.

There's a difference between alive dynamic training and static partner-cooperative training though. If you've never done MA before, then you have to do some partner-cooperative training to get a feel but after a few weeks they should gradually move you into live training.
