I know this post relates more to the CMA posts but this does have some relevance in this forum.
I dont know if you guys know this or not but China is pushing forward wushu as a sport in the olympics in 2008.To me wushu in the olympics is an insult as a TCMA as they will give us a bad reputation of unable to fight and as a general MA, I would think it's an insult too as China is pushing forward this concept as the ultimate art.
What do you guys think?

. TMCA for me when it comes to ring fighting doesn't translate too well. At least not the advance techniques. I cant eye jab - heck I can't even grab ppl's wrists because of the boxing gloves so all those techniques are out. So back to basic striking - hard endurance trainning and contact conditioning. The grappling (the little that I do) comes from taking jujitsu classes - and no I wouldn't even consider myself a novice at this point. I'm way too inexperienced. But stand up - I can apply a lot of basic moves but nothing spectacular that is a signature of TCMA.
