howmuch conditioning training do people do here,
what types of conditioning do people do,
what parts of the body do people condition,
do you condition properly and safely,
what advantages have people found from conditioning there body,
do you do any mental conditioning/training,
do you concerntrate as much on conditioning as other training ie gym/bag/cardio,
thanks for sharing i just wanted people to all give input so beginners to martial arts can read this thread and get some good tips on the conditioning side of training, because i feel people arent taught good conditioning in many places i have visited, and just generally was concerned about begginers to martial arts learning of this important factor, its a must to any kind of martial arts practitioner,
i do alot of conditioning training many types and methods,
i do iron fist training, iron sand palm training, stone lock training, stone ball training, bare hand freestyle sparring for conditioning, knuckle and finger pushups/pressups, 2 finger zen, iron neck, forearm and shin conditioning using flat trees and walls, i do water training for breath control and resistance conditioning with water sometimes with ice water, (but only on really cold days) i do alot of step training walking down huge flights of stairs on my hands and feet, sometimes on 3 fingers (each hand), i do alot of candle training i think this is very good mind conditioning/qi strenthening, qigong/taiji/bagua and meditation are excellent for mental and spiritual conditioning, i do some other conditioning aswell but would be considered dangerous by about 99% of people on this forum so i wont let those cats out the bag here,
all of my conditioning is safely done, slowly and gradually is always the way when it comes down to martial arts, its not something that happens overnight, just liek conditioning it must be done with patience, care, and upmost awareness of your own limits,
peace,
