[" And although we may do our best to avoid trouble, sometimes trouble insists on finding us. When that happens......when the time for talk is over, warriors act. They flip the switch and act decisively - ruthlessly if necessary - to preserve and defend the things that they hold dear." Michael D. Janiich Why being a warrior starts with accepting the limitations of peace.
Boar,
I saved the clip to disk, Im gonna try to get my asian friend to to translate the symbols. It was pretty crazy to say the least. Not quite sure if that qualifies as adreanal stress.....
"It was about that time I realized that searching was my symbol, the emblem of those who go out at night with nothing in mind, the motives of a destroyer of compasses." -Cortázar
What the hell are they doing, they are all crazy. Is this supposed to be a real Kung Fu school? Are these guys supposed to be martial artists? They are jumping around like apes, totally just freaking out and hitting everything in sight with whatever weapon they have, and they are terible, they are all jumping up and down and basically making it look like a flashy, bad Kung Fu movie with way too much yelling.
But at the same point if he did some lame-ass jumping punch or something I would find him easier to put down, they sure didn't seem very skilled in most respects, just angry and spastic.
I'm not going to pretend I understood everything I saw but I'm certainly impressed with the intensity level. When the guy was beating the log it looked like he was practicing beating a person that was already down. It probably makes sense if you're talking about trying to control a mob, but it's still a chilling idea. I don't understand the reason for all the jumping though; I wonder if it's just to make the work out harder or does it have a practical application?
Many people feel in order to harness all the bodies energy (fa jin) you need to pulse against the ground so hard it sends you airborne...i dont really think thats necessary but that school seems to be pushing the extremes.
I didn't know that; I'm not convinced that getting airborne when someone is trying to hurt you is a good idea, but I guess if you hit the guy hard enough it doesn't matter.
