I agree...

Then I was waiting for a high-high kick..but it didn't happen. It was the most reminiscent version of Chen Tai Chi I have seen..but still it was different. Very cool though.
The move after the opening where he first step's forward w/ his left foot and walk's through w/ his right and thrust's w/ his right spear hand:
His left hand is suppossed to(in the 3/4 application's we were taught) block the right hooking punch elbow to elbow{I saw him demonstrate this!},Sifu's elbow below the Attacker's, and at the same time-and this is most important-pushing the head up w/ the left hand. This then grab's the head, the weight changes and your left foot(I am still looking for this movement!!) turn's outward to allow space for the right foot to come forward and thrust the #belly area#. Now...I was looking for the RH to turn over and hit the chin w/ knuckles up(w/ a fist) followed by the knee + then followed by a return of the fist knuckles down.
So this move I seemed to recognise, though the hand didn't turn over for the upstrike to the head...maybe this was unimportant..at the time-HE DIDN'T FEEL LIKE IT-I don't know. I only did one level. Sifu said there was five!!

Nice form. Now for those of us who are not really into Chinese martial arts but are humble enough to appreciate it, let me ask---
Was he fighting imaginary opponents or was he doing some type of internal healing form?

There are techniques in those moves, but where they all start and end.........? I recognise 1. I would like to know more...I was very confused in trying to learn it...asked a few question's.. and he(Sifu) showed us a few application's.
There was a trip(push over extended leg) in there somewhere aswell.

Each movement in the form contains a strike, a sieze and control, a throw and a healing application. Also applications change as you understand the movements better. Each form has a way for a beginner to grasp the movement that allows the form to become your teacher, as you do the form other applications will reveal themselves throughout the years. These are the hidden treasures contained in the internal styles.
