You already lost if thats your mindset!! rethink the spar and figure out what weakneses he did have..exploit those, believe you can win, or you never will.

So why fight? Why not forfeit? Because even if you do lose you should learn from it so it's not really loosing, it's learning... get used to it.

don't let him hurt you, work on evasion and counter attacks!

        WRONG ATTITUDE!!!!

Put on a headset and listen to some good, hard music. Visualize you getting in that ring, throwing some of your best shots, getting away from his or taking em and knocking his @ss flat out.

Did you earn the right to fight? In other words did you prepare 110%?

Exprience is the best teacher. But the way class is conducted is not the norm. She gives the test first and the lessons later.
Even if you lose, treat it as a learning exprience. Keep asking yourself what you could have improved. And improve those factors. Foot work letting you down? Not enough power in your kicks? Always forgetting to keep your guard up?
You need to change your mindset. There is no such thing as an undefeatable opponent. You can and will emerge triumphant.
When Jim Carey was a struggling actor, he wrote a check to himself for $1million, telling himself, i will cash that cheque one day.

          Fear nothing, Respect everything.

If you lose. Train harder, longer. No shame in losing. I lost a lot of wrestling matchs when I first started out. Not to mention, its your first bout. Youll do fine.

If you're shorter and heavier, you might have the advantage in the clinch. You can win by throwing him or forcing him off the lei tai. Boa sorte!

If you go into the fight thinking you are going to lose, then you are going to lose. You have to believe in yourself when you step into that ring, otherwise you are just wasting your time.

So not only do you have a weight advantage, you also have a lower center of gravity. That means if you can close and clinch up you should be able to work some throws and take-downs. Keep your head up and give him hell

Is this a fight, like a match or competition, or is it sparring? I'm not sure because of all the pads. There seems to be a lot for a fight or competition. No offense intended.

With that said.. the pads remind me of point fighting, and while it certainly didnt look like point fighting, it seemed to get stopped and restarted alot, I gathered going out of bounds was a restart. But there were other times when I didnt know why it was being stopped.

While the throw he got you with ended up looking pretty good... it was a very ugly shot/double attempt, although he did try to finish it with a foot sweep.

Oh and.. maybe about halfway through you tried to take him down and had his side, Tani Otoshi, the valley drop... woulda worked nice there.

                              Good work though.
