another thing u wanna keep in mind is shoes. people in mma dont wear shoes, and that can make a HUGE difference for somene who knows how to use his shoes to maximize the damage he can do with his kicks. some people even wear steel toed boots. a muay thai leg check vs a steel toed boot aint crackn. shoes can also hinder you. what if you are wearing huge clunky dress shoes and you find yourself in a bad situation? they can possibly limit your mobility and compromise your balance. just the fact that everyone in mma doesnt wear shoes, or clothing other than shorts makes it unrealistic in terms of actual fighting. its just a sports competition.

Most of the throws in Judo intend to land the opponent on his (or her) back.
Not unlike wrestling, eh?
Sanshou/Sanda use strikes and kicks to "set up" a throw... Not so much like wrestling, eh?
Be sure to stop back by when you have a clue...
Tell your BJJ "expert" that lots of folks can "swim"... there's like 400 species of "shark"...and some of us hunt other sharks...(he already knows that)
