Forgive the offensive statement.

From what i read you were implying that he had been in a fight before thus Jackie is better.
Yes, you could probably make an educated guess of who would win by watching 2 fighters fight seperately. But still it would just be a guess. Sorry but i wasn't debating on who was the better fighter. I was debating on the stupidity of the thread itself, as evident by my first post.

Man, i love the comedy of Jackie's fights and i sure as hell love Jet's kick ass moves. And it would be so cool to watch Jet Li and Jackie in a Choreographed fight.
But seriously. This thread is like asking, does dog poo or cow poo taste worse?
If you people decided that you want your representatives of TCMA to be Jackie and Jet and I have a very bleak outlook for the future of TCMA.

In case those of the TCMA/CMA community haven't noticed it yet, we're rapidly losing credibility as a Martial Arts. Wing Chung hasn't been doing very well for itself. Comtemporary Wushu is just an embarrassment to the whole TCMA scene, it doesn't help that the Chinese goverment is passing it off as a martial art. The Shaolin temple has been turned into a propaganda device by the chinese goverment and is more or less run by them.
Thankfully there are still TCMAists out there who are at least worth their shit and can fight. Thankfully there are a still some systems that teach useable fighting techniques and have produced a few good fighters.

Since the beginning of the 21st century, kung fu has been somewhat forgotten again, the bruce lee fans are getting old and have forgotten the legacy and the spur of these quick to learn street defence ie. tae bo etc. have taken over. TCMA is is going through I guess a recession as wushu is about to boom as the 2008 olympics approaches

i have also read jackie chan's autobiography, and the training he did at the the school he spent most of his childhood was pretty damn rigorous. He also talked about the full contact fighting and fights that he had gotten into, also just because they are movie stars does not mean they know nothing, these guys have spent their whole lives training in the arts, they could probably kick most of our asses because of their skills and because we underestimate them so much

Well said. I'm tired of pple saying that they would get their asses whooped by so and so. I'm also sick of hearing if Jackie or Jet Li are so skilled y don't they fight in the MMA or something, it's b/c they make mroe $ than any of those fighters can imagine. Y would they put themselves throguh all that tiring training for a measely amount of $?

Maybe Jackie Chan and Jet Li would not be able to win championships in the UFC but that doesnt mean that they're jokes and that everyone should be disrespecting them.
