Well, Boar knows what i'm talking about. Master Hoo Flung Poo is baiting the poor WT/WC player about what's "internal" or "external"... I just think he's playing the role a bit heavy. (for an internal guy)

Maybe a little, but then again that's understandable, I mean, she has three whole years of training. Who could pass up a chance to learn from such a wealth of knowledge and experience

We do not use circular motion. Forward force (your entire body moving forward as you strike or deflect an attack) Defelection = rather than hard blocking requiring brute strength and clashing with the incoming force (of a kick, punch, throw, whatever) you deflect the arm/leg by spreading the opponent's force over a wider surface area rather than taking it on one point only. Pivoting the entire body as you "block" redirects the force of an attack. This is done while simultaneously attacking with the other hand/leg to strike.
Internal as in you use your mind, body and energy to deflect, react, and attack all at the same time. You do not block then attack. This is done all as one movement.
Concepts of yin and yang are just that, concepts. Flow is the key, to flow with a force that is more powerful than yours you give or bend(pivot) to absorb the force thus overcoming, using that force to your benefit. Not fighting it. Not moving in a circular motion and wasting energy.
When you pivot to the sides you simultaneously move forward into the opponent taking their space away for further attack.

When others would grapple, we strike and redirect. The concepts are more difficult to understand if you don't practice them, train, or feel the effect. I was very skeptical and didn't believe any of this when I first started until my force and agressive attacks were casually thrown aside, and until I was able to do the same against much larger and stronger men than I.
When you feel how effortless it is to execute these techniques against someone who is throwing all their strength into striking or grappling you, then do you really begin to understand.

Well, that's what I figured, based on your responses. I've explained as well as I could. My Sifu could do better, but he wouldn't bother and has told me it's a waste of time to even try to talk to you. He doen't explain, he does, he shows. I'm the one who answers questions for the students. He will just drill you until you figure it out for yourself, and continue to demonstrate how its done.
People get frustrated, so I explain to them, they "get it" faster and can continue to learn.
I was told to ask questions on this board and answer them, I've done so.
But since your questions are mean spirited, and not serious, Sifu is right, I'm wasting my time with you.

It seems to be enough for other WT students that come into our class after 5-6 years of experience. And for our students. As an assistant that's not bad. My Sifu has 20+ years of training so that should compensate for my total ineptitude.

Oh so your idea of internal is to move forward and smash anything out of your way..without circular movement? And its internal because you think about it? yin and yang is just a concept? do you use palm up blocks?

It sounds like you earned your assisitant instructor status in a non conventional manner.

As for my rank as Si-Jee, I earned it like anyone elese. Learning the techniques, principles, and teaching others. Your students are the relection of your "rank" and knowledge. Their effeciency in tournament and likewise reflect the teacher. Since they have beaten their opponents in competition or placed everytime, that action speaks for itself.
