no. i learned most my boxing and muay thai from a guy named Andy Fong in San Jose ca. he used to be a boxer for many years before learning muay thai so he emphasized proper punching technique quite a bit. i also learned a bit of savate style kickboxing from jerome turcan, whos fight against rob kaman i posted in the mma forum. i have gotten tips and training from a wide variety of instructors and professional fighters due to the atmosphere at the gym i train at. there is lots of opportunity to train with different high level martial artists.

KOTF how long have you studied boxing for?

You boast around your training and how long you have trained for yet you dont state what you have done in boxing.

I didnt give you a technical breakdown of the body mechanics of a boxing punch because, as i stated before, this had already been done by mike brewer and i had nothing further to add.

You seem to think that your 7 years is of TCMA is enough to let you have your say but im interested in where you have learnt boxing technique in order to discredit it? Given that your analysis of it is so far off the mark this would be really interesting to know.

And as we are measuring penis size and you seem to feel i have no credibility my back ground is as follows:
2 years TCMA
2 years Karate
Pencak Silat
9 years Muay thai + western pro boxing - qualified thai boxing intructor from bangkok + qualified western pro boxing coach. 2 years of which spent in thailand. i have also competed in the ring several times and im currently undefeated.
Jeet Kune Do - several years under Bob Breen and other instructors at the hoxton academy and trained under Dan Inosanto + 6 months training in the philipines.

And out of all of that the most powerful punch IME goes to......yeah you know the answer.

Well, that about covers most of KOTF's words and attitude (and those of his guru).

Now, if he'd like to take a stab at actually answering the original poster's questions (without lecturing on how beneath him it all is) I'd sure be interested in hearing it, and will be polite and respectful while doing so until and unless he goes back to telling everyone how ignorant and unworthy of his knowledge they are. I'd like to see him adress MB's points as well but I'm pretty sure he can't do that without going back to "you know nozing, nooozing!" (*Sargent Schultz voice*)

It seems the young man who started the thread had 5 or 6 questions that were dismissed rather than answered one by one by a certain self-possessed 'expert.'

I tried to give him some general advice about what he was trying to do, but I guess a real Baiji expert (which, sadly, I am anything but) could address his questions?
