If you don't mind me asking, how long did it take him to earn is Master's status in Kung Fu? How long did it take for him to achieve his black belt in BJJ?

Don't take this as 100% correct as these are only approxiamations

I believe Master Chan started BJJ around ten years ago

He has been doing wing chun since he was 18 and is around 40 years old now
He started the Kamon Federation in 1993 (so I am presuming he was a Master by that point).

By my calculations, he would have been a Master of kung fu after around ten years of training

Bear in mind that he did wing chun before he did BJJ and the sticking aspect of chi sao etc helped him get through BJJ a bit quicker than normal

I saw Mr Chan a number of years ago fight for a BJJ title in London, which he won. He looked very sharp on the mat and is certainly a talented athlete.

Congratulations to him on his promotion.

Yeah and he considers BJJ to be his 'second' art!

Imagine how good he is at wing chun!

Wow a WC guy that actually looks at other arts.. not something you hear about everyday. Most WC guys think that's all they will ever need. I trained in VC for 4 years and heard alot of that kind of talk in kwoons and at seminars.
