Ok, all, it has come yo my mind that some in here may be fakes or those who just troll around attacking others and really avoid any substance or real martial arts talk.

So here is a quick test to divide the true from the fake. Here are a few simple questions that those who understand CMA should know.

How many did you Google? Did you bother to write the web address for proper reference this time? No probably not...

1. What is a hanging horse stance and what is the weight distribution of both of the legs?

Depends on the system & their use. In my experience, some call it Bai Ma, some Diu Ma, some Miao Ma if you're wanting the front foot on the ground. Then the weight distribution is 90/10 back/front. Otherwise you've got Duk Lup Ma or Hok Ma where the front foot is hanging level at the waist & 100% is on the base foot. Your choice & interpretation. It's really hard to discern what you mean at times with such open ended questions.

2. What are the 12 bridges of Hung gar? Describe as many as you know.

Don't play Hung Ga to learn their basics. Know things about Hung Ga, but not their hands. In CLF, our bridges are probably similar in nature if not application, but the names are different & there's more than 12. However, that's not the question.

3.What is a unicorn stance and what is the weight distribution of each leg? And what is a good transitional stance to go into from this stance?

Well if you mean a higher moving one, then it could be Nau Ma or Gwai Ma depending on your direction. If you mean a lower one without so much motion involved, it could be Nau Ma or Li Er Ji Ma. Anybody who claims to teach CLF would know this... You really need to be more precise in your questions.

4. Who was Lam Sai Wing and was he a master of A. "Pugilistic Arts? or B "Choy Lee Fut Kung Fu"?

Lam Sai Wing... one of Wong Fei Hung's preeminent students. Wong Fei Hung was a noted Hung Ga practitioner & considered the popularizing force of Hung Ga as it's known today, created one of the most famous of all Hung Ga hand sets... So with that Regis, "A" is my final answer. Lam Sai Wing was considered to be a master of Southern Pugilist Arts. Do you also know what Wong Fei Hung was known for in the mo lum?

5.Why is there three bows in Choy Lee Fut?

No one. The popular story (since we're supposedly talking Southern CMA here... really not sure with these broad questions) told is that Wong Fei Hung's kick was a "mo ying guerk" since it appears to not leave a shadow when performed. Can you answer what the mo ying geurk really is though? It's not exclusive to Hung Ga...

7.What form is the "Appearance of the Dragon and Tiger from?

No idea. Don't practice any form with a lyric of that name in it.

8. How many hand forms in Hung Gar Kuen?

Depends. LSW's Hung Ga has the 4 pillars, so does Tang Fung's. Do you know the forms that aren't practiced by Tang Fung's line?

9. What is the name of one of the most influential men in the Shaolin history.

Northern or Southern? Factual or popular myth? You really seriously have got to work on your questions and expectations.

10. Kung Fu means, "Chinese Fighting style", or "achievement through great effort"

hmmm... now that is a clever one. If you base your skills & training from Shaw Brothers, Bruce Lee, Golden Harvest & other media outlets, kung fu is a catch all for Chinese indigenous fight skills, regardless of origin or use. Now if you look it up in a Chinese to English dictionary you'll find "kung (gung) fu" is used to described the skills attained by a person with a long time devoted to practice & desired competency level to practice that skill in the open. Taxi drivers, Doctors, Athletes, Cooks, etc... can all be said to have "kung fu" in their desired profession or path.

That is in high posture. Middle and low vary depending on the school of thought you follow.

Look, your questions are idiotic at best. They are asking questions about things in a particular style(s). I've been doing Sil Lum Kung Fu for close to 20 years and I can't answer some of your questions because they deal will a style I don't do. I don't practice CLF or Hung Gar Kuen. But I can tell you that Kung fu means the second definition that you listed. These questions prove nothing as far as a persons legitamacy. These questions you ask is like me asking you to perform Gung Li Chuan or Green Bamboo Viper form. Although Gung Li is pretty well known. But the snake form you probably have know idea. Does that make you a fruad?

They are not idiotic. They are dealing with certain things. Hung Gar and CLF are some of the most traditional styles in Kung Fu. Anyone that has some knowledge of Kung Fu should be familiar with some of this.

I speak from my experience as a kung Fu teacher that is why the questions reflect what I know.

If a person can answer even two of them, I would be more convinced.
