I have taken beatings from some of them and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I'm proud of it. Because I've learned from my limitations and incorporated some of their things into my own personal style of Wing Chun. I help my teacher teach his curriculum, but in combat I don't use pure WC. If you can show legitimate proof and not just the crap that a 2 year old could come up with, I might retract some of what I said. But since you can't..... well nothing will ever change.
Hey ben Grimm, I am sure, given the "Kill em and let God sort them out" attitude that you have expressed, that you would think it was great if I went around with a video camera and walked into a MMA club or any other martial arts club and said, "Ok I want to smash the best of you, come on, lets go and I am going to film it also". Then if I did this and hurt some people very seriously and had law suits on my head and death threats etc, I would go and post such fights on the You tube and paste them in here so that you can look at then and say, "hey this guy can fight" before they are banned from the you tube.

How ridiculous that would be. it would go against all that I teach and believe and I would be the absolute opposite of a good martial artist and would find myself in your territory, as the worst kind of martial artist.

The thing is, all of the real martial artists I know would never hesitate to cross hands with me. It's the best way to test what we know. Maybe you are more interested in the art aspect, because from what I can gather you certainly show any lack of martial understanding.

Back on track though. How could anybody believe somebody who could claim to have mastered 900+ forms. It's impossible.

Sin The, the Grandmaster of Shaolin Do has claimed to have mastered over 900 forms. Even you would find that unbelieveable, right?

Knowing 900 forms is one things, but to master them is another things and highly unlikely.

At least we agree there. Mastering 900+ forms is impossible.

Not impossible, "highly unlikely" is what I said. We weren't fully in agreement there.

It is the small details that so many miss in what I say that can lead them in a entirely different direction.

You know, I'm not exactly sure where he is in China but I do have his phone number there. I can find out what part of China when I talk to his brother. My teacher believe it or not gets on DL from China. His user name on DL is John Dufresne so you can send him a PM if you want. Tell him that you know me (Mark Reed) on DL. He is a relly good teacher. He really knows his internal stuff (Ba Qua, Tai Chi, Hsing I).

Even to know 900 forms is highly unlikely, unless the forms were like 10 moves long.

Sin The' was "promoted" to grandmaster at like the age of 30 something. He was very young, and to know that many forms....no way.
