It's true. You can hit from the ground just like you can hit from standing position. Nothing amazing to it. What's the big deal everyone?

    Hey TigerClaw.
Unfortunately, I can't afford a web cam yet, so there have been no videos of me performing, but I will look for an example when I get out of class. Youtube is blocked here

The instructor I had was a student of the current instructor at New York Shaolin. You can google those guys, they should have several, although not specifically Luohan.

It's a really cool form. It revolves around using the body's momentum and the stancing to redirect the force of gravity, and qi, into various vital points of the human body, causing organs and bones to be bruised and severely dammaged. Something like this can never be used in MMA. My bro and I constantly pull our punches, because full contact can cause lasting dammage.

    Answer: IMAGINATION!!!

Why can you not see that simple logic.

Which technique of TigerClaw’s are you discussing. When you say that your defense worked and needs timing? We have seen his RNC defense and his shoot defense.
Also, what grappling training did the uke in your test have?
When did you train in NYC and was Thad Wong the head instructor at that time?

Just trying to understand so I can have a good, civil discussion.

Now, another one of the strikes I learned, is Luohan Carries Flag, which involves raising a fist for momentum, while simultaneously raising the leg of the same side. Both come down hard, with the raised hand lowering in a downward palm strike. This can be a lethal application with a palm to the Bai Hui crown point.

The stomp adds a nasty momentum to the strike. This particular one, is common to many Shaolin Forms if I am not mistaken. Has anyone tried something along this line? IMO, it has nice stunning power when not done full force.

    Not at all.

His beliefs are fringe beliefs. **HIS** Kung Fu has no lineage and nobody to vouch for him.

He has done nothing to resolve this.

He is simply alone on here, preaching his beliefs and always needing to be right in his own mind.

TigerClaw, what else can you show technique-wise? I'm ignoring everyone.

Well if you and Bruce are just going to ignore me then I'm out. So much for sharing techniques.

It doesn't matter if you take him seriously. If you have him as a teacher, you will know if he is legit or not. He's a grown man, and doesn't need to make up crap. Seriously, I don't know what this is about, but quite frankly, I haven't seen anything suspicious, or even remotely off.

As far as I can tell, TigerClaw is a perfectly legit instructor with a solid background. Prove me wrong.

I don't take him seriously because he shows lame technique with an ignorant uke.

It is that simple. Nobody will take him seriously until then because we have no reason to.

Of course he can vouch for himself. He's a grown man.
    Why is this coming up?

Again, quite frankly, does it matter?

Are you still in NYC? I know some folks that would be glad to tie you up in a RNC to see if Bruce's escape works against somebody who knows how to apply it, standing or not.

They'd also mostly be nice enough not to do bad things to you or take your stuff while you're unconscious.

Is there a reason why you're ignoring my simple inquiry?
