The problem here pope is that you came in and accused this of being bad WC (I surmise because you were told by a fellow cronie that it was.)

You didn't ask what it was supposed to be you assumed what it was.

When that fell through you had to find something to not look foolish.

I never say hubud or knives in that vid.

This is begginer drills, simple stuff, it's not going to involve knife defense immediatley, nor did I say these drill inclued that.

Ok initially I did come here because Abel said that you were doing Wing Chun and yes I fell for it.

I accept that you are not doing WC although your style does appear to have been influenced by it.

So I moved onto something else that was bothering me, something that I felt was a concern. So as much as there is a love fest going on here why is it bad to bring up concerns?

As some people have said "....well its just an atribute drill" I get that but my point is that drilling in something over and over that is potentially dangerous is a dangerous thing.

I was hoping we could discuss this but it seems that there is a very touchy hair trigger mentality when somebody mentions the elephant in the room.

So again, you do actually mention hubud in that first vid...no matter how you are now bizzarely trying to distance yourself from something that is recorded for everyone to hear. That is why I brought the knife thing up. In my experience of FMA I have never done any hubud drill (yes see I too know its a drill) that couldnt be used with a knife as well as empty hand.

Just to make my position clear to the easily offended, my intention is to talk about this as I will probably learn something as well........

Well.. almost always! Probably one of the things I like best about you KOTF.

It would obviously be a complete different beast in the proverbial "real fight" but it doesn't take much of a brain to see the value in stepping off the line of attack WHILE getting your attachment to redirect the weapon (in this case a HAND)
