  • Tuhon Chris Sayoc Seminar

    Hello everyone,
We are hosting a seminar with Tuhon Chris Sayoc, he is the fifth generation Tuhon to hold his family system.
His specialty is knife fighting, he comes highly recommended by Guro Dan Inosanto who states that "on a scale from one to ten his system is a ten." wow. i really didn't need anything more to bring him in. their motto "all blade all the time" fits the system. from what little i have seen it really is effecient.
    basic info:
    Date Jan. 20-21,01
Cost - 125 before the first, after add 20.
    time 11-5pm.
place - Warrior's Way Martial Arts Academy, Wichita Falls, Texas.
    Contact me at my e-mail
warriorsway@aol.com or visit our website at
http://www.warriorswaytx.com and see the seminar page.
hope to see some of you there.
    Maraming Salamat!

We'll be sending some students your way, Harley. I've trained a little one on one with one of the Sayoc Instructors, Pat Consing, and they're the most unbelievable thing to happen to blade systems in a long, long time. Everyone ought to check it out!

As martial artist we are continually seeking out the best of the best to train with. This seminar offering by Guro Harley is one of those opportunities. I know little of the Sayoc system, but have been impressed so far with the types of things they are doing. I also have had the chance to train with Guro Harley and he is awesome, a talented martial artist and gifted teacher. Just to be around these two excellent blade men will open your eyes significantly.

We make the time for stuff that is important to us, if you like blade work MAKE this one of those times.

            Sifu,

I for one am very excited to have this opportunity to train with Tuhon. As you know, I will be traveling a good distance to take part in this event. I hope anyone who reads this will take my hint and realize that some training opportunities are worth making a trip.

I just thought I'd add something here. I don't know if all you guys are aware of what the Sayoc Group can bring to your knife skills, but the opportunity to get hands-on with their material will undoubtedly be the high point in many of your training lives. Guro Dan Inosanto has called the Knifework taught by Tuhon Chris Sayoc nothing short of incredible, and after having worked with Guro Pat Consing, I thoroughly understand why. I've been studying these arts for a long time, and the tools they shared on my trip to New York were not only the most scientifically and medically advanced knife applications I've seen, but every last bit of it was practical. They totally walked all over me, and inspired me to really study the blade. I'm not saying that everything else is useless, or that theirs is the end-all, be-all system to know, but it is certainly the missing link between technical mastery and functionality that a lot of people are looking for. And to Sifu Elmore, many thanks for the opportunity to study with these gentlemen. This seminar should be a must attend for anyone who's serious about the blade.

                Hello Gentlemen,
It's great to hear from all of you. I really look forward to training with you all again soon. As you Tuhon Sayoc, he has agreed to do a candid interview for I.W.F.A. while he is here. He said i could ask anything so i plan on asking some tough questions, like his leaving Pekiti Tersia and Grand Master Leo Gaje. should really start some fires to blazing!!!
also, i've been thinking about the true left idea in Sayoc, how left always beats right, well, notice how boxers have a hard time fighting a southpaw and baseball batters have a hard time with left handed pitchers, i wonder if line familiariztion and similar attributes are the key here, you simply can't say that left always beats right because unless you are stuck to a specific pattern they both have the same advantages on each other, unless one is constantly attacking first, the other constantly countering, just thought i'd give ya something to chew on guys.
