Everyone Knows that William McGrath is the true heir of Pekiti Tirsia!

I'm coming in late on this one but I've been off the boards for quite a while.

There's a real simple answer to this question.....Tuhon Gaje will appoint the person of his choosing when the time comes. At this time, it's not real important because Tuhon isn't going away anytime soon. At 66 he's still rocking & rolling and schooling folks much younger than he. I trained with him this past weekend and as always, I'm always amazed at his skill, timing, and heart.

Not to take anything away from Bill McGrath, he is very skilled and has always been more than gracious in the communications that we have had. For reasons that are between Tuhon and Mr. McGrath, he is no longer associated with Tuhon Gaje or the official Pekiti-Tirsia Global Organization. As such, it would be fair to say that at this time, he is not an heir to Tuhons Pekiti-Tirsia Kali.

As far as Tim Waid, I have never heard him directly, or indirectly claim any sort of dibs on PTK. His words and his actions show his devotion to Tuhon and the system. One poster mentioned his having trained since 88. Problem here is too many people get stuck on years gone by instead of the truly important point, "It's not the years that go by, it's the hours put in". I would be willing to bet that there are few people who have spent as much time (hourly training, not years associated) training directly with Tuhon than Tim Waid. He was in the Philippines from 93 to 98 training directly with Tuhon Gaje. Today he spends much of his time training in the Philippines when Tuhon is there, and Tuhon stays in Texas with him when he is here in the states for X-number of months at a time traveling around tuning up the different Pitbull groups.
As far as his skills, I've trained with Tim first hand and watching him move is watching textbook PTK. Crisp, smooth, and powerful. He's got the skill to back it up.
