This was taken off of serak.com forum. I have a feeling politics are involved. I have met a couple of the people on this list and they are very knowledgable in the art of Silat. I have also seen certificates (online) that were issued to some of them stating that they are Guru's or Guru Muda's issued by Victor himself. I would feel real bad if my teacher whom I devoted many years and a lot of money to train with degrade me like this. Thats it. Take care.

As the VDT Academy is growing, has been re-structured and re-organized.
Remember and this is a fact
Paul de Thouars taught everybody to Phase 3 of the system, I mean all, not one person has been excluded up to thios very date, fact because I am very familiar what he taught to everyone.
He so far has given token certifications of Serak instructor level.
To this Date November 11, 2004 I have never given anyone, I mean Anyone this Certification for Full Serak Guru Warisan Tulen Asli.
I will not name any Pembantu Gurus in this post for they have a need to complete the Guru Mudah Level as of yet.

The Completion of Phase 8 of the Curriculem
Because of this fact and because of the sake of many who study real hard to gain their certification that are in Phase 3 - Pembantu and Phase 5 Pembantu Guru and many who have "SACRAFICED" much to gain the knowledge and skill and their due dillegence in learning Serak
I will not and can not allowe other folks to take their hard work for granted meaning anyone.
Important Note:
The name list of those who are no longer allowed to teach Serak(R)because these folks have seized and desist their own learning curve.
To teach the System of Serak to guide others, you must also have the necessary knowledge in doing so.
Just because someone knows a few jurus and a few Sambuts (Technieques) does not make the person know the system of Serak period.
I allowed folks the teach the basic structure under my guidence so direction were in place from myself so proper teaching methods can be applied.
All records are kept at the VDT Academy, the same count when you have earned and gained a degree at any University.
To be qualified, anyone must have Written Certification
Otherwise it is FRAUD to claim otherwise
To prevent this I withdraw my total Serak Teaching Support to these folks by name.
Remember It is up to each individual and decsision to make up their own mind. The information below is for informational purpuse only.

1. Robert E. Vanatta. Level obtained - Phase 3
Failed field Phase 5 testing procedures at the Instructors Serak Camp of December 2003. Not qualified to teach Serak.
Failed to execute simple sambuts 3, 5 and 7 and several phase 5 structures to be considered Pembatu Guru Serak. Obtained a scoring mark of 55%.
Passing Score of 85% for him to have obtained Full Phase 5 honors of Pembanyu Guru.
He received a Honorary Gift Certificate that I normally give to Children or Martial and sport folks of Guru Warisan.
No New License Issued - with Guidence.
2. Ron Miller. True Level Obtained - Temporary Guru Mudah Certification - testing score was 67% the required score of 85%needed to improve to minimum to solidify full Guru Mudah ranking.
Failed Field testing for Full Guru Mudah at the Serak camp 2003.
He failed simple Sambut 10, 5 , 2 and 3. His Temporary Certification date mark expired June 26, 2004 to have obtained the Full Guru Mudah Ranking.
No New License Issued - With Guidence
3. John Simons. This the same as Ron Miller - True Level Obtained - Temporary Guru Mudah Certification - His testing score was 68% The required score of 85% needed to improve to minimum to solidify full Guru Mudah ranking. He stopped his own progress, instead of starting his own classes to improve and hone his skills. Papers colecting dust. His Certification date mark expired June 26, 2004 to have obtained the Full Guru Mudah Ranking.

4. John McCurry. True Level Obtained - Temporary Guru Mudah Certification - His testing score was 58%. The required 85% score needed to improve to minimum to solidify full Guru Mudah ranking. His Certification date mark expired June 26, 2004 to have obtained the Full Guru Mudah Ranking.
No new License Issued. - With Guidence
5. Pat Salantri - Never tested for Phase 1
Was never allowed to teach Serak.
Not issued any license
6. Ken Pannel in Dayton Ohio. Obtained Phase 2 Learning Curve
was allowed under my guidence to teach Sambuts, Buwang.
Failed Phase 2 test and Never tested for Phase 3
No New New License Issued - With Guidence.
7. Jim Ray in Colorado - Obtained Phase 1 learning Curve, was allowed to teach under my guidence beginning Sambuts and Buwangs and Jurus up to 6. Never tested for Phase 2 or Phase 3
No New License Issued - With Guidence.
8. Joe Goytia in Chicago - Obtained Phase 1 learning Curve, was allowed to teach under my guidence beginning Sambuts and Buwangs and Jurus up to 6. Never tested for Phase 2 or Phase 3

9. Bobbe Edmond in the State of Washington - Obtained Phase 1 learning Curve, was allowed to teach under my guidence beginning Sambuts and Buwangs and Jurus up to 6. Never tested for Phase 2 or Phase 3. Issued License Expired June of 2003.

10. Paul Buitron in Laredo Texas.
Obtained Phase 1 learning Curve, was allowed to teach under my guidence beginning Sambuts and Buwangs and Jurus up to 6. Never tested for Phase 2 or Phase 3. No New License Issued - With Guidence

Obtained Phase 4 learning Curve, was allowed to teach under my guidence beginning Sambuts and Buwangs and Jurus. Never completed tested for Phase 5. No New License Issued - With Guidence
Factual Note:
Willem de Thouars does not and is not qualified to teach the Serak Curriculem, and has no qualification to rank anyone in Serak.
Willem received a Honorary Serak Certification in 2002, does not give him the right to Rank Joe Simonet or anyone else on this Planet.
Steve Gartin as well as Chas Clements never tested for Phase 1, and are happely learning what ever Willem de Thouars is teaching them.
These two gentleman did the VDT Academy the biggest favor of all time.
Joe Simonet and Addy Hernandez in December 0f 1999 applied to become students of Serak. They received 1 tape of the Beginning Jurus of Serak. Joe Simonet was requested to redo their work tape of the Jurus. Joe Simonet never returned a work tape back.
Guru Mudah Mike Roberto with the Witness of Corky Loesch helped Joe Simonet in the making of the Pantjar Platform tool in the summer of 1999 in Chelan Washington. Ibu Jane was a withness to that fact.
Do not be fooled by those who take the system of Serak to lightly
and have false pretense in teaching a system they do not own.
As they may be fighters within their own rights and wish them the very best.
Many reasons why Ustad Dan Inosanto studies at the VDT Academy Still comes to complete his needed Serak ranking. For A certainty Ustad Dan Inosanto does not need for me Pak Vic to teach him how to fight. That is utterly ridicules, No he comes every week to the VDT Academy to learn and complete the system of Serak from Pak Vic.
Ustad Dan and so many names of folks world wide that fill pages of books work very hard to obtain their ranking, Sacrafice so many occasions and their tenacity to do the work.
