  • Discussion on Doce Pares.

What did you think of the Kali Ilustrisimo seminar? Personally, I love the art, but I still realize that it is a personal expression of Tatang's style of fighting based on his natural talent and individuality.

Perhaps it is unsuitable for many people to use in actual combat.

I know you wanted to train with Diego, but I think Hans is probably the closest thing we can get. They were also talking about sponsoring Diego to come here.

In the new Cabales Serrada book, there is some mention of a Doce Pares group that existed before the Doce Pares group that was headed by the Canete family.

I was wondering if my Doce Pares friend, who I spoke to at Facla, and at Sipa would like to shed some light on this matter.

Also, if he could answer another question.
I heard that you were in law enforcement, and I was wondering if you could tell me some laws concerning blades and such in SoCal.

I've been carrying around a Cold Steel Voyager that has a 4 inch blade.

Some people have told me that it must be completely visible when I carry it, while others have told me that I can hide it my pocket with just the punyo exposed out of my pocket.

Could you please tell me what is leagal, and what is illeagal concerning 4 inch folding blades?

I know you value your anonymity, so if you have time, could you post here, or email me some answers? My email address is in my profile.

    Thanks,

    Ron

I was also interested in the Doce Pares system. i have been reading as much material as i can and have noticed there have been numerous groups Doce Pares who are also associated with Pekiti Tersia. I was curious if the groups are related some way in lineage (One before the other) or are brother styles which work well together.
