  • Time to stir the pot????

I don't know krys, it's awfully quiet around here. Do I need to bring back the Great Kali Debate to liven things up a bit?

    What do you think?

    Hello William, how are ya?

Yes things have been quiet on the board, let the kali battle begin! I'll dig up the barong and call moromoro for a war council....

Actually I am more and more involved in russian martial arts.....very subtle and devastating blade work. It mixes perfectly with fmas. Will settle to the Philippines very soon, and I'm thinking of teaching those arts there.

Hi Krys, good to hear from you! I'm sure your training is continuing and going well.

Humana2000 and myself have been training continuously swinging the blades and digging up archeological sites in preparation for this day...

Good luck in getting settled in and developing a good training group. I seem to remember your mentioning Systema? Is that what it is?

Train hard and keep the edged side oriented.
        Take care my FMA brother!

Yes I was involved with Systema. It is a very good art, I still practice it but am no longuer a member of the organisation. I find more freedom with RMAX and will have a look into the Kadachnikov System when I'll go to Russia in a few months before moving to the PI.

I found out very interesting weapon practices in rmas, different from filipino, both complement well. Sticks are used in whip like motions, and blade work is not based on angle concepts.

Were all the Kali war veterans posting now? I wonder if Haumana already published his book on polynesian martial arts.

          Take care and practice well.
          Krys.

            Krys.
            Isn't RMAX Chris Sonnon?

There was a huge discussion about him on http://bullshido.net forums...

Sounds interesting. I haven't heard a lot about it but I will look into it. I like keeping up on the different systems to know what's out there.

I don't know on both counts. I've been off the web boards for quite a while.

Have fun in your travels and keep training hard.
