Please checkout our video. You can send an email to Guro Dan Anderson at freekalivideos@aweber.com

We are offering samples of his upcoming DVD to subscribers. Basically a new technique every two weeks until the DVD ares ready. At that point you will get a chance to buy the DVD at a special price. We think it's a pretty fair way to try before you buy. Though I don't know if we'll do it once the video is available for sale. May be only one or two samples.

Kali Silat DVDs by P. Greg Alland

These DVD give you the system of Pekiti Tirsia, the system of Doce Pares famed Espada y Daga, and the Lanka Empat of Indonesia's Pencak Silat by the late Suryadi Jafri.

Grand Master Dan Inosanto, purchased these DVDs awhile back and his comment was excellent, he recommended these DVDs and even showed the material on one of his seminar programs.

I made these DVDs, they are menu driven and have all the right material so you can learn from the original system of Pekiti Tirsia. See why our Palit-Palit is outstanding, and the principle of all Kali Silat the Sinawali. Thank a look at more at youtube and myspace. Thanks for making these DVDs very successful. regards Greg

YES!!! The 2 dvd set of the Kali Tudo instructionals were given to me as a gift by one of my former students. This is some very valuable information shared in this dvd set. They're so awesome!

I have Guro Ray Cole's silat dvd (vol. 1) and I like it.
Guro Ray Cole is also an instructor in Sayoc Kali under Tuhon Ray Dionaldo. GRC has been in Thailand for most of this year doing MT.

You can see Tuhon Ray Dionaldo in the upcoming Sayoc Sama Sama 2006 dvd teaching stick. This dvd is half Sayoc Kali and half Sayoc Silak (non blade aspects of Sayoc). The dvd also has Tuhon Chris Sayoc showing some skill set training with knife. Tuhon Felix Cortes teaching a Silak stick template and how the template is applied.

The 2 DVD set finishes with Tuhon Tom Kier teaching more blade work. He's accompanied by Josh Votaw a student of Atienza Kali who recently won the long blade competition at the Cold Steel Challenge (open tournament which has WMA, FMAs, and others).

I saw the rough edit and this dvd should be out in December of this year.
                This one is all instructional.

Guest instructor Raffy Pambuan is also featured showing his family system of Pambuan Arnis. The dvd set runs close to 2 hours.

                      Inosanto DVDs

I ordered the Inosanto DVDs on eBay. When I play them, they seem to almost be screen captures of VHS tapes rather than true DVDs (i.e., with menus, chapters, etc.). Does anybody know if this is how they are supposed to be? I don't want to believe that I bought a pirated set of the DVDs cause the originals are available on Amazon (albeit at double the price) (and of course just because it's cheaper on ebay doesn't mean it's bad or pirated cause it could just be used). Thx. -Rich.

There's 5 empty hand Kali tapes/DVDs, and other material there I'd argue is Kali relevant. Steve comes from Dan Inosanto, Edgar Sulite, Vunak, DB's...

I bought a set off ebay not too long ago that sound EXACTLY the way you describe them, only mine came in plastic shell cases instead of the original DVD cases...I thought, as you did, that I recieved a pirated or bootlegged copy and I started filing against the seller through e-bay...

Long story short...it wasn't pirated or booted. Unbeknownst to me at the time, that's just the way alot of martial arts dvds came until the last few years, I guess...especially if something wasn't put out by a company that could afford the higher production features (like Panther, Paladin, etc...). Of course now-days it's a great deal simpler to make dvds with menu options, special features, etc.

But yeah...mine didn't come with a menu, but rather the screen capture looking thing and then it seemed kind of laggy with tracers.

What matters most is the material...and in those tapes it's classic and golden. I can't wait to get my hands on the Definitive Inosanto collection, but I'm poor so I'm waiting like a vulture for a used copy..which may be awhile.

Thanks for the reply. Mine sound just like yours. I guess I'll relax. Either that or buy what are likely better quality ones off Amazon and maybe resell the other ones on eBay.

I've bought a few martial arts DVD's that are re-releases of material that was originally on VHS, and many of them are done with a simple set top recorder - Some I've bought directly from the person who made the videos so I know they are not boot-leg.
