Well, after getting penalized 3 seconds numerous times the first three rounds (that sheep grazing and moving his head set me off), I'm consistently a rocketing Rabbit the last four rounds.

Now my kids are playing it. I'll let you know if they kick my arse.

It is an electronic gauge to measure reaction and speed.

Usually used in his IPSC shooting. The gauge lets out a loud beep (randomly timed), a clock then starts till a loud sound then turns it off.

I have a wooden dummy sufficient to make a sound for it to register the clock to stop.

Basically it measures your reaction time.
                  Ray,

I believe you beat this time at Sama Sama that year you attended.

We got the idea to use the timer for Sayoc quick draws when we went to the firing range with one of the World Champions of Speed Shooting.

Anything in the .3 mark is very fast. All our full instructors have to get within this range of time.

Btw, it is also the combination of whether or not you are within the reactionary response range. If your opponent allows you to get within that range, you can go half that fast and still score before they can do anything about it.

                    Hi Tuhon Rafael,

                    Great to hear from you!!

Sama Sama is where I got the idea in the first place

Although the set up Sayoc had was infinitely more advanced and "professional" than what we have here.

I've been working more and more with our set up, and I've got it down to 0.25 sec.

You are correct about other factors involved when actual sparring is done. Such as distance, timing, telegraphing and fakes.

I maybe in the USA around August this year. Hopefully we can have an opportunity to meet up

                    Ray

                      Ray,

If you do come to the US, please let us know if you have the time to come through Houston. Daniel Arola and I can set up a seminar. Houston is pretty easy to get to since it is the hub and home of Continental Airlines.

                      Regards,

My Floro after watching that telegraphic strike video im amazed. The speed of that strike was faster then my eyes could keep up with until i watched like 5 of them. I have to wonder where did you aqquire this speed? Fencing? Weights?
