hi guys, this was just a quick run with my new toy...JG prototype sword!
i have no doubt that the sword will cut...i've done a bit of cutting with aluminum cans and chopped some plywood...performed well with no edge rolling or damage. the grind is something i'm not used to. i've only swung a sword with this type of grind once but no cutting...it was a Chinese jian. now that i got a feel for this sword grind (hollow then convex edge) i'm really diggin' it...because of its profile, it performs like a hatchet with 18" inches of sharp edge.
this sword is fast! heavy but if you lead it correctly she will dance for you...normally i like my swords to be an extension of my hand...but this one cooperates with your command!
the sword is great for FMA or if you practice Thai Krabi Krabong...a pair of these can definitely do some damage.
