Hey guys I've become very curious and quite enamored with GM Cabales' Serrada Escrima. I know most of the master's in the system are primarily in Northern California. Could anybody please tell me if there are any Serrada escrima teachers (Serrada not mixed) in Southern California? If so could you please send me some info? Thanks in advance

Serrada in SC
Try checking out the Filipino Martial Arts Instructors Database at http://www.martialartsresource.com/f...o/filframe.htm
Try browsing the instructors by region and you might fight someone locally. If that fails, try contacting one of the N Cal Serrada guys for a referance.... or you might use the e-mail on the MAR Filipino connection to contact Ray Terry for a possible referance.
Good luck!
.... and let us know how your search goes.

The grappling arts imply most fights end up on the ground. The striking arts imply all fights start standing up. The clinching arts imply the clinch can stop the striker from striking, and the grappler from taking it to the ground. The weapon arts imply the they can stop the unarmed man. A complete martial art implies any fight can go anywhere...be ready and able to go everywhere.
Ray Terry's eskrima digest at http://www.martialartsresource.com is probably your best bet, like Kevin stated. And you also get alot of other good info and discussion there as well. Of course they are only the second best FMA list around...If that link doesn't work you can always check outthe FCH links section for instructions to get on to his list.

BTW, I know someone in San Jose who is looking for a workout partner, beginner to advanced level. He will spar or train, it's up to whoever he is working out with. His name is Big Joe and his bio is on the FCH bio page.

Thanks guys, I have already checked out that FMA resource page. I have only found one person that teaches GM Cabales' escrima. I have emailed him twice with no answer. BTW thanks Chad for the training partner, but that's one of my biggest problems...the location of both teacher's and training partners. I go to school 6 days a week and work full time. That's why I'm looking for some in the So. Cal area. Thanks again
