lung pierced - pluero-thorax & hemothorax, collapsed lung....bad news.
stomach- usually death
heart/carotid/brachial up the armpit/spinal chord/femoral deep enough and close enough up the extremity/subclavian artery/abdominal aorta/windpipe all the way through...all kill spots...so would be one through the skull.

Shock probably kills alot of people too.
a blue worm (Sayoc's #3 in 3 of 9 vital template) might not kill the person immediatly (maybe a few minutes, maybe they live through it with medicial attention.)...sepukku style...they might be able to still slash, but they're still pretty screwed if the fight isn't over.

A cut severing tendons and ligaments could cripple you, end you're ability to fight back...i.e. the hamsting...owwwwwwww...or a cut deep enough on your hand or arm to make you drop the knife (or not be able to wield one...severing the stuff that makes it so you can hold a knife)
