Kalis Ilustrisimo Seminar June 3, 2001
When It comes to a life or death situation, no other system is more combat proven that Kalis Ilustrisimo. The Ilustrisimo family is both dreaded and respected in the toughest barrios of the Philippines due to the legacy of Masters such as the late Antonio ‘Tatang’ Ilustrisimo, his father Isidro Ilustrisimo, and Uncle Melicio Ilustrisimo.
This family is known for frequently engaging in live blade confrontation and coming out victorious with all limbs accounted for. Despite such an adventurous existence they were still able to pass on due to natural cause.
The current heir to the system is the humble, yet formidable Antonio Diego, who dedicated over 26 years of intensive training under ‘Tatang’. In the early days, in order to obtain advanced techniques, master Diego had to get ‘Tatang’ drunk, resulting in Master Diego being ordered to the kitchen to get a sharp and attack from ‘Tatang’ from various angles. No one other Master Diego can represent Kalis Ilustrisimo in it’s purest.
Master Diego chooses only to have a handful of full time students, and even fewer to represent him.
HANS TAN, is one of the few fortunate enough to be certified by Master Diego. Hans Tan also trained under the late Punong Guro, Edgar Sulite in LAMECO from 1990 to 1997.
