I have noticed while searching FMA databases, message boards and different websites. I am not too familiar with FMA's but am very interested in them. Why is it that Villabrille was such an acclaimed fighter in his day, and not that many people practice his style? Maybe it is just that practitioners are not out in the open or maybe there aren't that many practitioners. I have seen bountiful Serrada instrs., Lameco instrs., Pekiti Tersia, Illustrisimo, Inosanto Method, Giron system, all these wonderful systems, but hardly see anything on Largusa/Villabrille system. I know GM Largusa is still alive, but does anybody know anything about this system? I am interested in this because I know of an instr. close to me, but I'd rather research info before I go and talk to him. Thanks, all info is appreciated

The Kali Association of America (Villabrille/Largusa) Kali players are not very open. They can be hard to find but well worth the effort. Their expression of Kali is beautiful and very effective. I would suggest that you go and talk to the instructor and watch a class or two if you can. Villabrille/Largusa Kali has a lot to offer and if you have an instructor that is close to you and willing to take new students ,if I were you, I would do it in a heart beat.
Best Regards,
