Empty hand sumbrada is any drill you do that is "counter for counter." That is, your partner counters your initial attack and you counter his counter, he counters this, and so on. These drills can be in any range, in any context.

For example: A: Pak sao and punch
    B: Counter with Jao sao
A: Counter with Tan sao and punch
B: Counter with Jut sao and palm strike to face
A: Counter with Quan Sao (one hand tan, other
    (bong), inside pak sao
B: Counter with parry and low jao sao, pak sao
    and punch etc...

Tokoro de, whereabouts in Japan are you? I'm moving to the Yokohama area next month.

      Nic,

Hey man, I lost your email address. I'm pretty much settled now, working in Yokohama.

Whereabouts in Tokyo are you training right now? A co-worker and I are interested in doing some JKD-type training. I showed her pak-sao/lop-sao last night and completely blew her mind (her backgrounds in TKD).

You going to Pride next month?
