just an FYi here.. Mongoose is a close quarter combat fighting technique with kung fu as it's base. I have a friend who is a black belt in aikido and he was taught mongoose by an Iglesia ni Cristo member. This was done in secret by the way.

My father's hometown in Ilocos Sur is Bannayoyo which is not far from Candon. The memories are a bit vague, but I do recall seeing a merchant that sold an array of all kinds of badass blades. I've plenty of family in Candon too. My father ran a parish there not long after he was ordained from the seminary. I also spent my last few years (in PI)up the road up north in Santa Maria and went to school there.
