darn man how do they think of this stuff
It's suppose to withstand a strike of a sword ( this is why in Katori Shinto ryu they for instance strike to the armpit and inside of armpit) and a barehand would be able to pierce that?
I know some of the old masters has incredible skills like being able to tear off the bark of a tree
Or strike the makiwara full speed with a one knuckle fist or a toekick
But this exceeds that into the mysthical, now I know how karate got a bad name

in the same contect a jumping or flying kick is a tequnique to knock a rider of a horse and theres a general lack of warriors on horseback these days, or maybe i just dont notice them
