That is what I use it most for. Ive seen various companies sell makiwara bags, but the best deal is www.yin-yangstore.com right on the front page they have a special on makiwara bags. It comes with 2 bags big and small for like $33.00 or somethibng around there. The big one is usually like $25.00 anyways. There good for setting up to be hitting walls and or posts.
I also train wth iron palm. But thats more of a form where as makiwara is like punching a bag.
