  • What is your favorite kick and Why?

    Mine is the side kick because it was the easiest to learn and came most natural for my body composition. I also love to use it as a defensive "STOP HIT" . I use it off the front leg or back leg depending on the situation.

    What about you?

    Bowing Out.

    I enjoy the sampo geri ("hidden kick") myself as it's one of the few you can use effectively and not go too far offbalance.

        How about a high side kick with a bikini for the camera...jj ?

        Favorite kicks: Hard low thai kicks, push kicks to the body/face, side kicks to the body/knee, clinch knees.

          I'm stooped. They say martial arts learning is a lifetime process. Now that I've qualified myself, can I ask;

          What is a hidden kick and how is it performed? {ie. linear, round, heel, instep, ball}? Thanks in advance.

              I myself prefer front kicks. The highest kick I would do would be to my opponents lower stomach. I'd do sweeping to, and attacks against the shin. Fun fun.

                It's basically a low sort of front snap kick you use for the groin. You basically use it to hit the inside of the shin with the side of your foot and then zip it up along the leg to hit them right in the dingleberries.

                  Probably just knees to the side of the body and gut while you're holding on to the back of their head or neck.

                    Scoop kick. Why? One will do the job. Try it on someone right in the middle of one of those side or roundhouse kicks when he has one leg on the ground. You get the funniest reactions.

                      Kneeing your opponent on several areas while maintaining a tight grip around your opponents head/neck. Your forearms act as a vice around the neck, with your palms atop each other (fingers not laced!) on the back of your opponents head.

                      The other clinch is the boxers clinch: You secure an overhook around the boxers lead arm and use the other arm to secure him around the waste, keep your head down crown into his jaw/ear - an awesome set up for throws/sweeps!

                      You can make clinching an entire martial art in itself....

                          That would be the one that you practice thousands and thousands of times.

                            im not sure what its called.... but its like a side kick but downward to the outside of the leg at the knee.
                            Pretty much totally crippling your adversary.

                              Probably called a downward side kick.
