  • Why Karate?

    Hey all,

I don't mean for this thread to offend anyone, but why does most of the non-ma world focus on Karate? I mean yes it is a great art and has millions of students, but there are so many other arts. I was just wondering, andall oppinions are welcome.

Because the name Karate has become a generic term for asian kick and punch arts
And don't forget karate was the first asian K&P art to be spread around the globe

I guess that slipped my mind because I know the history of so many other arts and their apperences in relativity to each other.

      Thanks,

Also if I might had. "Reputation" Karate has a reputation. Ask anyone in the general public and they can tell you some stories. Lots and lots of people have defended themselves with Karate. Word of mouth reputation!!!!
