inquiry about 'tanjian'
this reply is several years after the initial question. someone asked about 'tanjian'. in the novel 'white ninja' by eric lustbader, the author refers to an archaic chinese precursor to ninjutsu called 'tanjian'. mr lustbader also refers to this art as 'tau-tau'. i'm certainly no authority, i haven't played the martial arts for forty years. i would refer the interested reader to several novels by mr. lustbader, including 'the ninja', 'the miko', and 'white ninja'. i found each of these novels both compelling and authoritative, but who knows! perhaps someone with more knowledge will clarify these matters.
sincerely,
