  • Japanese Sword Making?

does anyone have any information on swordsmithing schools in the u.s.

ive googled it many times and hav not found anything.

i dont want to buy a sword, i want to learn how to make one.

i dont really want to travel to japan to learn how, but reference any japanese sword schools you want to...i have a feeling im gonna have to cross the ocean anyway.

    thank you.

Your best bet is to find a swordsmith on line and contact them directly with your quest for info/ tutoring in the craft.

There's a great bunch of guys at http://www.usualsuspect.net that will be happy to help ya out if you're serious about this. (membership is free and trial members have limited access)

Search for ABS bladesmiths in your area and see who's around. Maybe one of them will specialize in Katana forging?

There is a lack of this kind of info online...
