karambits are certainly more realistic carry weapons ....but sword vs sword or sword vs various weapons is great fun. I have a cold steel battle mace that i would grab for defence before any sword though.

thats cool. I have actually fought with real swords many times. I have had a lot od close calls. But is fun.

Okay. My friend Chris and I used to sword fight at night. One night while fighting he came at me with a stab to the stomach, so I blocked and came in with a stab to the forehead. When I saw that he was not going to block or dodge I pulled my sword away from his head. I t was a very close call.

there was another time when I almost cut off his right middle finger at the knuckle. Our swords were locked under eachothers hands. When we pulled them out his did not cut me, but mine cut down to the bone. so we went to his house and washed it out and stitched it up.
