Now if it was iai jitsu... maybe but to my Knowledge KSR is a complete system
consisting of the following arts:
Tachi-Jutsu
Iai-Jutsu
Bo-jutsu
Naginata-jutsu
So-jutsu
Shuriken-jutsu
Ju-Jutsu
where these arts aren't thought as seperate arts
But maybe this is a different KSR, different from the Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu

Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu is one of the few old bujitsu schools, it is a national treasure in Japan
You don't do it for sports or competition nor for selfdefence
It really is a BU jitsu in the sense that a lot of the techniques are battleground techniques and keep in mind the armor worn by samurai
their Kata are very dynamic and are almost all sword agains either also sword or one of the other weapons
The Iai jutsu is fast and effective compared to ZNK Iaido
Now do you think that someone interested in that would instead go for GJJ?
Personally, I don't think so

Somehow some BJJ and MMA people seem to think their training method fits everybody interested in MA, therefore they will alway suggest MMA or BJJ whenever someone would ask about TMA's like Karate or TSKSR
If you are a bit like me, you have a broad interest and would love to learn all that suits your way of moving
And you probably love to learn new things
Back on topic, As far as I know there aren't many licensed teachers for TSKSR, so I would say take a look, even if the teacher isn't licensed, the classes might still be worth it (and there aren't many around in the first place)

I found out about TSKSR at the local Japan Festival, it turns out that we have a school here in Kansas, and since I saw the demonstration they put on, I have wanted to learn this style. Like I said I hold nothing against BJJ or MMA, In fact I was thinking of trying out Submission Fighting sometime.

Did do MMA for a short while but it was only 1 hour a week at a timeslot that didn't realy suit me
Done MT/kickboxing and Savate (french style kickboxing) too but that was 20 years ago.
