  • Differences between Judo and San Shou throws?

What's the difference between Judo and San Shou throws? I read Liang Shou Yu's "Chinese Fast Wreastling for Fighting (San Shou Kuai Jiao)" and it looks like a lot of San Shou throws are in a "non-clinch" position. Based on my knowledge of Judo, Judo primarily focuses on throws in a clinch position.

Am I correct? I never studied Judo nor San Shou before, so I'm just basing this on what I see in demonstrations and competitions, and what I read in books and on the Internet.

I have been watching alot of San Shou matches on youtube and google video, and the throws that theyre using ARE Greco and Judo throws/takedowns. And then there's other takedowns like the Scissor one.

But in San Shou, people do shoot in, and from there normal wrestling is used, but people usually end up in a high clinch when they get close.
