Shenmue

I know this is a silly thread but im intrested anyway. Has anyone played the game shenmue? The character uses martial arts and i wondered if the moves and techniques are fictional or real. For example i think some of the throws seen are borrowed from Judo, and the kicks look like they are from Karate.

yeah dude i love that game,and yes some is real,not sure what it came from but his style is derived from some kempo ,lol i thought i was the only one in the world who played that game

Not sure, maybe Wado-ryu, Goju-ryu, Kyokushin. I would definately say Karate tho. (Karate has plenty of hip throws which are similar to judo throws.)

Ha ha Shenmue is an awesome game...shame about 2 lol. Its probably just the most under-rated thing ever.
