More info before I can answer...
What do you already know about the stick?
How do you use it, in 3 sections, or in 2?
(not literally sections, I'm referring to hand position)
What style are you currently in? You don't want a style that is going to teach you to move differently from how you are already moving.
Remember, stick and any weapon should simply be an extention of the techniques you already know. If you feel that you are learning "new" techniques or a new way of moving your hands or feet, you are probably learning the wrong style or doing something incorrectly.

If you want to be the badass on the block, there's no way to go but FMA.But there are books on other stick fighting styles out there, I saw these at Borders:
Jogo de Pau (dunno the author's name) - Portuguese stick fighting w/ long staff
Medieval Quarterstaff (can't remember author's name)- purple cover also at Borders
