You know something? If you had just posted the first few seconds of the video there would have been people here confirming how great the art is.

          Thankfully you posted the lot.

This is what happens when a mystical martial art comes up against a non believer.

i think kiai are agreat tool

hey i jka shotoan karate-do and since our goal is totry take our opponent down with one strike, we rely on the kiai to help us in that purpose.
well for me, i personally believe i strike harder when i kiai. now that i think about it, almost nobody remains perfectly silent when striking someone in a real fight.

but anyway, with good focus, targeting and kiai, you will give a stronger strike.

even when i am stiking a makiwara, when i kiai, i notice my focus improves and i am able to hit harder
besides,(i hate to give war stories) but kiai are good way to make ur opponent flinch and take away some of his heart.
but then again, i am 6'5 and i lift weights 3 times a week. im pretty sure someone this size yelling when he is trying to strike you will make anybody nervous

about the video, anybody can lose a fight. but for that reason is why we should avoid fighting. but i can say for myself, i have done karate since i was in middle school and it has never let me down. (once i actually got good at it)

                yelling alone

While yelling alone won't make an assailant drop to his knees and beg you not to beat his ass.......studies have shown that a good yell while attacking an opponent can help direct more force into your punch or kick.

It seems to mentally unbalance people as well but yelling alone won't save your ass unless you are Donald Trump in a board meeting and you're yelling "You're Fired" to some corporate ass kiss.

Or your chef Ramsey calling some f-up a "Donkey".
