Helio Gracie and Wally Jay

This is definitely an old school thread. I'm wondering if Helio and Wally ever crossed paths? They are both about 90 years old and both have Judo Backgrounds. Anyone know if they ever trained together or competed against each other?

It seems unlikely. After Helio's defeat at the hands of Masahiko Kimura, so called Gracie Jiu-jitsu went underground for the next three decades or so...

A have to agree, probably not. Maybe now though that both guys are world famous, im sure they have met or even exchanged views within the last 15 years or so.

I read somewhere that Wally Jay was a 2nd degree in Judo when he created Small Circle Jujitsu and became 10th Dan.
