Has anyone here ever studied Ashihara Karate?

No I haven't, but I just went out and read about Ashihara and it was pretty interesting. Just something I do, see something new and check it out to see what it is.

      Tim,

If I remember correctly, in of those UFC's (not sure anymore)... There was a law enforcement guy that had 15 years in Ashihara Karate that got plummelled by Joe Moriera... I may be wrong.

          I did do Ashihara
It is a bit like Kyokushin but with more Sabaki, so more slipping blocks and turning away
Forms are totaly unique, they can be done with or without a partner without adaptation

first part of one of the forms
middle outside slipping block(going inwards), reverse puch to the head, same block, puch followed by roundhouskick, turning straait afte the kick lands........
