darth was right on that. i made a mistake. there is little hand to hand combat in this system from what i was taught( very little mind you). and what is there, from what i was told, was borrowed from other systems and modified using their principals. this may be completely wrong. as i am no expert on this system and never claimed to be. just giving my insight into what i was taught about the system....

Yep, you did make a few mistakes but its understood. Actually, you were close about the Ryu not teaching much Taijutsu (unarmed) because, from what I can see, but "close" doesn't count. Fact show a few Kata and whole hell of a lot of weapons.

No problem with your own background as it seems that there is a degree of history between Gyokushin Ryu, Togakure Ryu and Mochizuki ryu ( NINJUTSU.COM ). The "History" presented has a few problems but its not worth a debate. Regardless, fact or fiction, your post us interesting.

Plus, aren't you glad sojobow is here as it took the trollings off of you. Would not have come here but Roley called me, spiritually and by name, in a post).

uh thanx but im not trying to learn krabi krabong by myself. that stuff just doesnt work. learning by yourself i mean. i found a teacher but its too far to commute. i already travel 45 minutes away for the khmer martial arts i am practicing and since i drive a truck that gets to be pretty expensive. but any way good luck don.

Good luck in teaching yourself Krabi Krabong. I really think you should get a teacher, but I hope you don't do something foolish with the swords and hurt yourself like most.

darth was right on that. i made a mistake. there is little hand to hand combat in this system from what i was taught( very little mind you). and what is there, from what i was told, was borrowed from other systems and modified using their principals. this may be completely wrong. as i am no expert on this system and never claimed to be. just giving my insight into what i was taught about the system. one thing about this system(bujinkan) is it is taught differently from school to school. each instructor has their own flavor and focus on certain things. for this system i would definately say that darth is right and will most likely be right with your questions concerning this sytem as he has had extensive training in it. i know who you are don and i know of what you have done in this sytem. my hats off to ya. but i would like to say that you did not have to come on here and write towards me the way you did. it was very childish but now its been forgotten. good luck with your training in the future and with the school you are trying to open here in america. also good luck to you laura. hope the knee get better soon.

Well, I GOT THE JOB!!!! I'll be checking that place out soon. I had knee surgery on the 22nd of last month to realign the knee (common among women according to the doctor), so it's going to be a while yet till I can rejoin any martial arts classes, including my current ones, but at least I'll be in the area at the end of the month. Sweet!!!!

Congrats young lady. Hope its a good life-change for you. take care of the knee but keep in mind that you will appear as prey to street vultures. They will chose to attack the weak first be aware. Be more carefull now.

Also, after you've set in on a few classes (maybe 6 or 7), let me know what you think of the new style/system. Of course, if you've had less than 3 years experience in MA already, I'll still consider your opinion.

Let me give you just a small example of the many, many mistakes Tenzen has made in this thread. Remember, this thread is called Togakure ryu ninjutsu- so we are talking about that. Here is one of the first things he said.



Do a quick search of the term Tonsogata and you will find out that they are formal, unarmed kata from the Togakure ryu. Here is a link to some folks doing them. And that was just a small portion of what he has managed to write so far. Pointing out all of them would be a full time job and he would scream and curse at me and try to argue that he was too right and I am just a big mean doody head.

I'm sure tenzen has you on his "ignore" list by now but quoting your post should offer him an opportunity at rebutal if he cares to elaborate?

first i didnt ask you to treat nme anyway. second i was sarcastic about the phone conference. i mean how do you think that makes me look to my family when i go to them and say, "some guy on some forum on the internet does not believe my qualifications for whatever reason so i need you to talk to him on the phone so he believes me." that is a very childish thing for me to do and i simply wont do it.

i could care less if you just spent 15 years in japan training. im sure it was a good experience and all but it does not give you the right to come out of nowhere attacking me. if you want proof come find me ill give you your lesson. first ones free.
i have nothing left to say on this, i see it will go nowhere even if i wasted more time with this so i am done. say what you will it matters none to me. but honestly the only way to test my ability is to come and see for yourself. lineage should not even be an issue in this its not like im out marketing or anything, i only teach this to my family. on another note currently i am learning the khmer martial arts and that is my main focus at this point. i will not be posting on this thread again.

Oh yes, your point is a good one.

If someone makes a statement and backs it up with some sort of reference we can check, then it does not matter if it is the best teacher or the Naruto fan. The problem is when someone makes a statement that seems pretty silly and says that because of their extensive background that it is true. That is when their background becomes a factor.

I tend to treat people on the internet like they don't know much until they show some expertise or proof. I only have troubles with those that insist that they be treated like they had 20 years of personal training, post things I know are wrong and refuse to back things up.

That would work. If I talked to someone and was certain it was your family and they said that you trained under a guy for 20 years in ninjutsu it would be far beyond what any of the frauds I have run across can do.
