Original JKD Union Shut Down

Unfortunately, due to circumstances that are beyond my control the OJKDU has ceased to exist. I would like to share more details as to the events that lead up to this, but it isn't extremely important to do so. However, I would recommend that anyone with a picture of Bruce Lee, or the JKD Yin Yang symbol on their site, or just using the words "Bruce Lee's JKD," etc., to rethink that idea. Such items have apparently become copyrighted material. I've taken my site off line, where it will most likely remain. I just wanted to thank everyone who offered encouragement and well wishes during the OJKDU's brief run.

It looks like no one will legally be able to fuss over the name much longer.

I dont think the name Jeet Kune Do . Has been copy righted. just the symbal, Bruces// name and Jun Fan/// Plus any likeness there of. Which is sad I believe this may be the first such in the M/A world to control A M/A . Sure it may be based on keeping it set down as developed. But at the same time it takes agin away from Jeet kune do. AS if you do not get permission to use and display. The Art fades some. because they now can say who does or does not get to use the name of the founder. So he gets after time losing credit for what he did . By not being able to explain The building of the art. BUT I think you can still use the name Jeet Kune Do. So just dont use the symbal. and the name to advertise. But can probably use the name in teaching as long as you do not call it Bruce Lees/// Jeet Kune Do. Might just say founder when refuring To Bruce//. And in the end Of learning JKD the symbal returns to nothing.

I'm finding that there are more than a few lawyers in the JKD community. I've started to get some feedback on this issue... all may not be lost. I'll keep you all posted.
